This is not about medical intervention, but about holistic preparation—emotional, relational, and logistical—that allows individuals and their loved ones to approach life's final transition with clarity, purpose, and peace.

Because this support should be a right, not a privilege, we have built our practice on a foundation of radical accessibility. We offer personalized, empathy-first programming and partnerships tailored to your specific circumstances through an equitable, sliding-scale model.

Our role is to help you access and personalize a suite of doula services tailored to your unique values, your family's needs, and your own envisioned future of wholeness.

I’m Kirby, founder of Whole Life Death Doula Services. My entire career has been dedicated to people, inclusion, and supportive care, from public health advocacy and legacy giving to writing and facilitation. This unique path is now focused on the sacred space of end-of-life support, driven by a dual passion: providing deeply compassionate, individual care and fostering the broader systems change needed to make this holistic support accessible to all.

To ground this practice in the highest standards, I am a member of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA) and hold certification from the University of Vermont’s End-of-Life Doula program. It is the integration of this formal training with my lifelong commitment to service that shapes how I walk alongside you.

My services are based on meeting people where they are in their journey, whether that's working through fear or unease on the topic of death, managing through the loss of a loved one, or planning for the end of life for yourself or someone else.

Because the goal is not to avoid the ordeal, but to be supported through it. To be believed. To have your story honored. And to ensure that, in the end, you are met with concern, not inconvenience; with validation, not dismissal. You are the author. I am just the dedicated scribe, ensuring your final words are your own.

Whole Life Death Doula is a continuation of a career spent working with and for others, in service and support. This work allows me to support communities, families, and people in education, advocacy, and action. Through practice, I have learned to lean into my strengths to give clients the best experience, shifting my business focus toward administrative support and creative design.

I work with the messy parts, the parts that are hard to maneuver while walking towards the end of life for yourself, or continuing on the path following a loss. My services are typically sought out by individuals who are moving through grief following a loss and seeking support in navigating the hundreds of hours of work it is to settle affairs, families, looking to build a comprehensive plan for the end of life, that incorporates education for their children, or individuals looking to leave behind a legacy project for their loved ones, create one for someone who has passed, or gift a legacy project or other aspects of my work to people in their lives navigating loss.

I am available to work with anyone who has an idea or an approach they would like to work through, regardless of whether it's a typical avenue. I live in the solutions space, the space where you are heard and understood, to build a beautiful path or portrait of the end of life.
