Solaria Strings

The group consists of highly trained and talented musicians, all of whom take delight in complementing special events with elegant classical and contemporary music. Creating a group of high-caliber and artistic musicians was something that founder and coordinator Rachel Mossburg had been visualizing and dreaming about for many years. Solaria Strings consists of not only highly trained and talented musicians, but also kind and friendly personalities, all of whom take delight in complementing special events with elegant classical and contemporary music. They have been together for three years now and feel extremely grateful to have such a special community of ladies to play beautiful music with!

On a more personal note, founder Rachel Mossburg knows what it is like to lose a loved one and the pain and confusion that come during this emotional time of loss. The summer before moving to Chicago in 2021, her mother passed away at the young age of 61. While Rachel had so many new doors and exciting opportunities opening up for her, this level of grief quickly turned this transition of her life into a very challenging, uphill battle for the first couple of years. While every difficult experience in life gives us the opportunity to choose deeper growth and understanding, having gone through this has made her extremely sensitive to those who are going through loss like this. It is her hope that the music she provides is able to bring at least a small bit of peace and comfort to you and your family.
